Technology Advancement Project

The Radioisotope Power Systems (RPS) Technology Advancement Project (TAP) is an element of the RPS Program.  TAP has two major roles in the RPS Program:

  • Development of new RPS technologies
  • Sustainment of critical technological capabilities required to ensure a national capability in the production of the fundamental electrical power generating components of an RPS
